About
Introduction
Pixel Tamers was started in an effort to join together a group of sites that were already interlinking but had no formal arrangement. The founding members believed that having a formal network would provide more benefits for reaching a wider audience, basically, strength through unity. One person may well be able to make a difference, but it’s a lot easier with more people.
Origins
The founding group hung out at the DDN Forums, and had been there for some time and, while the idea of teaming up had been bandied about before, someone finally decided to let their fingers do the talking and set up a site to try and bring us all together.
Ideals
Pixel Tamers are fairly laid back and while some of our number are online entrepreneurs, business people and work in the industry, many of us just bum about online. We all share one thing though: a passion for the web, in all it’s greatness and debauchery. We take a lot from the web (this site was built using products and information made freely available to all), but many of us give something back too, we like to think it balances out in the end. Sustainability is probably a good word.
